Wedding, Summer and Fall 2011

With the wedding season slowing down a little bit, I am finally catching up on editing and posting some of the photos from my summer weddings and a few from the early fall. I have also been working on designing a new website with flash, slideshows, etc... This should be updated in the next week or so. I just wanted to share some photos from some of my favorite weddings that I have done in the last couple of months.

7.16.2011~ Mariners Church and Salt Creek Grille
April Smith photographed some great shots of this wedding. I loved how we used cotton, bolsa wood flowers, and burlap in the bouquets and arrangements...and of course succulents!

7.23.2011~The Ritz Carlton, Laguna Niguel
This wedding had a really fun color palette and it all came together so nicely. Elsa from ME Events and Designs did an amazing job coordintaing this event! Here are a couple of the photos I took, but also check out some more photos on their blog at http://me-eventsanddesign.com/blog/2011/09/tania-steven-married-ritz-carlton-laguna-niguel-dana-point-ca/

8.20.2011~Rancho Las Palmas, Rancho Mirage
This wedding was a hot one out in the desert in August! But all the flowers made it and it turned out beautiful. I loved how the bride, Kirsten, wanted the ceremony to be all white flowers and then the ballroom was filled with color with purple, pinks, and deep reds. Thanks Chris for the awesome photos!

9.10.2011~Aliso Creek Inn, Laguna Beach
Courtney Mcmanaway captured some great shots of the flowers from Tiffany and Eddie's Wedding. I love the contrast of the magenta flowers against the white and silver accents.

Beachcomber Wedding, July 1, 2011

Here are a few pictures I wanted to share of a wedding I did last weekend at the Beachcomber in Newport Coast. This is a beautiful spot where you can get married right on the sand. http://www.thebeachcombercafe.com/_crystalcove/index.aspx

This bridal bouquet was very unique and had many flowers in it including lavender hydrangea, cymbidium orchids, antique spray roses, love in the mist (cute little blue flower), white tweedia, sage (the bride is a chef so she wanted to include some herbs in her bouquet), dusty miller, bunny tail grass, lavender, and succulents. The bouquet was hand-tied with lace and twine accents and also had family photos and a vintage brooch. We used mason jars, filled with flowers and hanging from twine, on the chairs down the aisle. The flowers included sage, hydrangea, blue thistle, lavender, bunny tail grass, and honeydrippers.

Vintage Shabby Chic Wedding~ June 18, 2011

Just wanted to share some photos and details of one of my favorite weddings I did this spring. I loved Brianna's theme and color palette of ivory, blush, and a Tiffany blue accent. She even rented vintage furniture! Every arrangement was unique in its own way and we used different containers for all the centerpieces and cocktail arrangements including birdcages, tins containers, mason jars, wood boxes, watering cans, etc. We used a wide variety of flowers including peonies, garden roses, dahlias, roses, hydrangea, parrot tulips, stock flower, lisianthus, queen anns lace, chocolate geranium, dusty miller, succulents and ivy.

The venue was also awesome! They just started having weddings here and the grounds are beautiful and perfect for a wedding. Its actually a business where they sell boulders and stones for landscaping, but it is great for an outdoor wedding. The landscape includes koi fish ponds, bridges, waterfalls, palm trees, outdoor fireplaces, and large grass areas. Laguna Beach Weddings, March and April

Here are some photos from some weddings that I have done over the past couple of weeks. The first wedding, March 25, 2011, took place at The Pacific Edge Villa in Laguna Beach. They just recently remodeled this venue and it turned out beautiful. One of my favorite aspects of this venue is how close you are to the beach and ocean.

The bride wanted a clean, tropical beachy feel. The flowers and elements that we used included calla lilies, hydrangeas, cymbidium orchids, dendrobium orchids, white lisianthus, various tropical leaves and beach glass. Here are a few photos of the flowers:

The other wedding took place this last weekend on April 9, 2011. It was held at the bride's home in Laguna Beach. The house is set up in the hills with amazing ocean and canyon views. She wanted to incorporate succulents (one of my faves :), sandblasted grapewood and manzanita, and ivory and blush colored flowers. The flowers we used were hydrangeas, cymbidium orchids, gardenias rannunculus, ivory roses, Sahara roses, and dusty miller. Here are some photos from the wedding:
